t4 towbar

Did I see a post ages ago about fitting a towbar to a T4, but having to remove and leave off the metal ptotection under the rear bumper?

I don't like this idea much, but someone had said it can be refitted with just 2 of the bolt instead of the 4.

I have looked at various makes and they all look like they fit differently, which surprises me as VW surely makes them with an intended place to join it onto, am I dreaming topics or did this one excist?
