New nuevo pump

Advice please at night when no water is being drawn off the pump kicks in for a few seconds is this normal is it a breather or fault.

A lot of us have had this, possible leak somewhere or air in system. If you can't find a leak (it will only be a weeping joint or jubilee clip) then just turn pump off at night.

Paul is correct but do persist to find the leak as it could be under the shower tray or at the back of a cupboard and over time the damp will cause potentially very expensive damage.

Check your bathroom taps are off and your hot water heater dump tap is fully shut.

I had this problem and after much investigation it was found that a pipe between the kitchen and the bathroom was leaking, a new one was pulled through and all was OK.

Mine gives a very occasional grunt which I put down to temperature changes causing a small pressure drop which the pump compensates for. You may be able to stop it by slightly tweaking the pressure switch adjustment. If you still get occasional running then look for the leak.
