Uprating Broadway EB
Has anyone had their Autosleeper Broadway EB uprated from 3500kg to 3800kg or higher, we pick our new Broadway EB up on March 1st, and the dealer is fitting air assisted suspension for us. I'm just a bit concerned with the payload of 415kg before any accessories are fitted.

Re: Uprating Broadway EB
Remember that:
1 When you reach 70 you will need regular medical exams (every 3 years?) to preserve over 3500kg entitlement on your licence.
2. Over 3500kg incurs much higher tolls in many EU countries, often km based rather than a vignette and that many side roads and roads through towns have a 3500kg limit.
Neither may bother you but be aware!

Re: Uprating Broadway EB
I used SvTech to update my Broadway FB from 3500 to 3700 last July. Cost then was £320 or so and it was done in a couple of weeks from start to PHGV tax disc. I took all the forms and my tax disc to our local office and left with a new disc, temp V5 and a promise of a £50 refund. Yours might take a little longer now because all the DVLA local offices are closed and you will have to post everything off to Swansea.
I should check with DVLA on the procedure because they might want the tax disc sent to them before they issue a new one, which may mean your van will be off the road for a while.
Allan
Just thought, get the new van on a weigh bridge as soon as you can. I thought I had 315kg payload with 80% fuel water and me sitting in it. I had 80kg less than I should have!
