Hello there everyone
The name is Harry Potter but your clubs spam filter kicked me out first time so now its HarryP.
My wife and I are retired and have recently bought a 1994 Auto-sleeper Harmony(Minnie) with a 1905 cc XUD diesel.
It is the slowest model available but we have had at least six of these engines in the past and know that if you treat them right 200,000 miles is no problem. We have taken Minnie out twice to North Norfolk to find out how it all worked and if it all did.
Of course it didn't. Had to have new clutch(frozen), tyres(perished), hot water tank tie bar(frost damage), brake slave cylinder(seeping seal), zig unit(loose solder), batteries(10 years old), roof vents(tree damage) and a new speedo cable.
These were all things that were simply managed or diy-ed.
Now come the bits that I need help and advice on.
Can anyone advise how to re-tension the roller blinds? I am having real trouble rewinding the offside centre every morning. Failing that, where can I get correctly sized replacements?
Can anyone tell me where to get the bottom fridge vent which is 9cm tall by 47cm wide? It doesn't have a makers mark and is not a size seen elsewhere. The top one is Dometic L100, but the bottom L200 is way too big.
Please somebody, help us out. We want to be nomads and see our country.
Regards
Harry Potter
