Jenny and David
Hello
We are Jenny and David (username, Jenvid - sorry, not very creative), based in East Yorkshire.
We recently acquired a 2002 Ford Transit Auto-Sleeper Duetto, diesel automatic. It is in fabulous condition and has only done 20,000 miles. Hopefully, it should last us a long time. A first job was a thorough undersealing with waxoyl of a remarkably rust free (for a Ford) chassis - to try to ensure maximum longevity!
We are just back from our first overseas test of the vehicle: two weeks in Brittany. All went well.
We are already very much in love with our Duetto and most impressed by the design and build quality. It fits our needs perfectly.
This is our second motorhome. To purchase our Auto-Sleeper we upgraded from an entry level ex-BT Van, which we owned for 18 months as an experiment to see if we would take to motorhoming. After three European trips covering Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and France and becoming great fans of German Stellplatze and French Aires, the answer to whether we would enjoy motorhoming is of course a resounding 'yes'!
Unfortunately, when we became the new owners of our Duetto (AS Build Number P795), there was no Auto Sleeper manual with the vehicle. There are still a number of things we are trying to puzzle out - so we hope forum members might be able to answer the inevitable questions we have.
We of course look forward very much to becoming active and supportive members of the Forum ourselves.
Every good wish
Jenny and David
