open or shut
Hi everybody.
I know this question has probably been asked before but after draining down the water system and blown out as much of the residual water as possible, do you leave all the taps open or closed?
looking forward to lots of replies

Hi VWT4,
The internal taps, (washroom kitchen and shower) should be off to allow for expansion of any water left in the system turning to ice but external drain taps should be closed to prevent spiders bugs etc getting in.

Hey, Brian - I am sure that off was a mistype for open (you used closed later, with which I agree)!murph wrote:Hi VWT4,

Another point is that if you have a shower you should ideally remove the head, lower the tube into the shower tray to drain that and then, after replacing the head put it back in the high position.
