Squeeky Habition Door when driving
Hi Everyone,
Can anyone help me please, I have a very Squeeky habitation door when on the move. Do not know how to cure the noise which is driving me nuts. Not sure if it's the sliding window or the door come to that. Has anyone experienced the same.
Appreciate any help
Many Thanks

Have you tried putting a small amount of olive oil on the rubber door seal. It worked for me once.

You really need to get someone to drive while you sit beside the door and listen. If it's the rubber surround, try using "back to black" or a similar preparation.....it was recommended by Ford for their convertibles. It could be the lock itself in which case spray some oil or light grease around it. Same with the hinges.
good luck.....it should be curable.

squeeks
You will find a pin that holds the door in place when closed. A bit of silicon spray will help there.

Hi
I had the same problem. It’s the spigot on the door that fits into a socket on the sliding door frame when closed. Sprayed with PTFE spray.

Which one cured it?
Absolutely right which one did cure it? .......I can't tell you. All I know it's worked.
It has got me thinking though, why did I not think of the simple cures in the first place.
I'm not stupid. . . . Or am I? ummmmm.

Will have to try these as ours is noisy too
But on ours it only starts after we have been travelling a while. And on a long journey will ease off again by the end.
Probably one of those annoying intermittent things that we will never get to the bottom of and never happen when you are at the garage.
