Toilet fluid offer BOGOF
Halfords Buy One Get One Free (BOGOF) on Blue Diamond 2 litre toilet chemical and Bowl Rinse . Cannot deliver but you can reserve in store and collect. The best bit - it's also reduced from £7.99 to £3.00, yes £3.00 and you still get the free one, so 2 x 2ltrs of chemical for £3.00...

That's a bargain but I don't use anything that I can't safely put into a septic tank .
Thinking of trying BioMagic next, it's been recommended to me by another wild-camping fan of my acquaintance.

Re: Toilet fluid offer BOGOF
Rather than putting chemicals in the toilet, we have been using Bio laundry liquid from Tesco ( other supermarket varieties available).
When in Europe, several dumping points would not allow chemical fluid to be discharged. So we were put on to the liquid laundry option. Cheaper and more eco friendly, as well as reducing bad smells.
As ours also has a separate water flush tank, we also put Sterilizing solution into it rather than the pink stuff.
Might be worth considering these options as well!

The sterilising solution will negate the effects of the bio liquid by killing the bacteria.

It mainly stops the black bits found in the water tank, which the pink liquid didn't do it hot conditions.
Only a weak dilution is needed, 1 cupful in 6 litres of water is our dosage.
I can only state my experience over several years usage in 3 motorhomes. We will never use chemicals again.

Re: Toilet fluid offer BOGOF
Many thanks for the info, Paulmold, will pop in this week and take advantage of the bargain.
(We have tried the bio liquids etc - which are still by definition "chemicals"!! - but never found them as effective as the stuff that is actually made to do the job)

Great offer this but...
Just gone into Halfords site and my Barrow, Lancaster & Kendal stores completely out of stock.
So it'll cost me more to get to Preston than I'd save. Stick to Bardsea Leisure dearer but on the doorstep

Re: Toilet fluid offer BOGOF
I'm afraid it did the rounds of caravan and motorhome forums, so has sold like hot cakes as the saying goes. I've just picked up my reserved order from the Wrexham store and they have 8 bottles left. The offer started last week and according to the guy I spoke to, they have sold over 100 cases in that store alone. Just you watch Ebay over the next few days!!!!

Re: Toilet fluid offer BOGOF
Got mine today. Checked stock in local store but didn't bother to reserve. They had a huge display but priced on the card at £3.99 and no mention of BOGOF. I took two to the till and he scanned them, confirmed it came up as £3.00 total for the two. Said he'd get the promotion price changed on the floor display.
So if anyone fancies a trip to Fife Central Retail Park in Kirkcaldy . . .

Re: Toilet fluid offer BOGOF
Just collected mine from Stafford - found you can mix purchases ie buy 2l blue fluid and get 2l pink bowl cleaner free, just in case anyone doesn't want too much fluid.

Thanks Paul,
Just bought 4L (two bottles) for £3.00 in Halfords Newbury. There were about 6 bottles left on the shelf.
