Re: Monitored tracker offer
Although I am not required by my insurance company to have a tracker installed (thank goodness after looking at the prices of the companies they use) I bought a £12.89 unit off Ebay.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292400215553
Just been testing it and it works quite well, send a text (Giffgaff sim on 2g) and it replies showing where it is on google maps on my android and PC, app is also available for Iphone.
Also has a ring fence system so you will be informed if it moves 20mtrs from where you left it.
I have an alarm fitted, Disclock on the steering wheel, Fiamma lock on the hab door and it is parked up the side of my house with the drives door 6" from the wall so no access from that side and no key lock on the passenger side
Recently bought a CCTV system which I still have to put up but one camera will be installed looking down the drive where the MH is parked, there is normally one of our cars parked on the drive behind the MH.
Don't think I can do anymore.

Looks pretty comprehensive Paul, it even has GPS jamming detection for peace of mind.

Havn't got round to fitting it in the van yet, was hoping to fit it this week but too busy.
I did come across a slightly more expensive version that will cut the engine off.

Re: Monitored tracker offer
Personally don't like the engine cut bit
1. more difficult to fit
2. Cut the engine at 80mph on the M5 no van and maybe worse

Apparently with this one you can send a command to stop immediately or to shut of below 20kph

I'm interested in this e bay tracker, what sim deal do you recommend. Is it using data or sms messages? just to get an idea of what spec of Sim i am looking for. Cheers.

I ordered a sim from Giff Gaff and put £10 on it.
These trackers need a 2g sim which some providers no longer support, it uses SMS/GPS to give its location so has to be placed somewhere that the gps/mobile signal is not blocked.
