Second hab battery.
Greetings all. Any one fitted a second hab battery to their Warwick or Sussex Duo? Not sure if it is doable because of space, so any suggestions.
Thanks Tengah 74.

Re: Second hab battery.
Hi there,
My first thought is "Why bother?"
We have a standard Bosch 65Ah lead-acid battery which with a winter usage of:
o 2 hours of heating per day.
o 4 hours of lights per day.
o 3 hours of TV per day.
we get at least three days before needing to re-charge.
The only changes we have made is to convert the lighting to LED's.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,

Thanks. The reason I asked was that we are wild camping in France, and although we did the occasional hour drive, to dump of rubbish etc, the battery was really low after 7 days.

SEVEN DAYS???? It's a "battery" not a "power station"!!
With regard to "the battery was really low" you should NEVER let a lead-acid battery drop below about 10.5 volts; otherwise you will almost certainly damage the internal plates and totally ruin the battery.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
