T4 trident rear speakers
I'm wanting to upgrade (ie exchange the existing cassette player for a cd) the stereo in my newly acquired van. I can probably manage that bit but I'd also like to hook up some speakers in the rear of the van so the kids can hear the music without me getting deafened. Ideally I'd like the speakers to look integrated/flush fitting (as opposed to mounting them in some pods) and the ceiling panel between the rear seats and the sleeping area seemed a reasonable place to start. So before I drill through this and find its not suitable and make a complete mess of things, can anyone offer me advise on where they've successfully (or not!) managed to put rear speakers? Any tips gratefully received, including best location to run/hide the speaker wires!!
Thanks
Thanks

I see from your avatar that your new van is a 'none' model:hugegrins:
So will have to guess, but I fitted 4 good-quality speakers in my van, 2 replaced the behind dash units at the front, & I fitted the other 2 under the
overhead lockers about 1/2 way down the isle, on mine, there is a void under these & there's plenty of room for the wiring.
I took the wires up & 'inside the windscreen pillars, then under the door/roof liner, & into the void, all the lighting & switch wiring is in there as well.
I 'blend' the volume so as to make the rear ones a bit louder when driving & this balances the output nicely.

Re: T4 trident rear speakers
Thanks for the prompt reply. Sorry for my delay - wanted to get a picture just to check. Have your speakers gone in the area marked by the arrow? There is a curved profile on these bits of trim so I wasnt sure if speakers would fit flush. Also what size speakers did you manage to get in there? Think I'll be able to manage to swap the front ones but may need to get an expert to sort the rears.
Cheers
// unfortunately I cant get the photo to host/upload properly but if you right click on the image icon and open in new tab the pic appears. Anyway if our interiors are the same I presume its the trim that hosts some of the 12v fluorescent lights too. Ta

Hello, did you ever fit rear speakers to your trident? I'm looking to the same. Cheers

I considered this a while back but never got round to it. Rather glad I didn't actually - mine are now at the age where they want their own entertainment on headphones via a tablet, not my tunes. Just a thought...
