Thought it was about time we said hello
Hello all,
We've just returned from a very sunny weekend in Anglesey in our 1999 VW Trident, and after staying in the shadows for the last year or so, just reading posts and looking for a few answers, we thought it was time to say hello.
After spending my childhood and many happy summer trips, in and around various different campervans (mostly VW T2s and T3s), I decided to dive in and introduce our 2 little ones to the world of campervans. We bought our trident (named Besi) last summer and have so far been to various sites in the UK and drove to Portugal and back via France and Spain last August - a mildly eventful trip - we only needed a rescue vehicle twice, got broken into once, and needed an ambulance for my son once, so nothing too out of the ordinary for a first trip!
Anyway, looking forward to posting soon

Hello and welcome to the ASOF from someone who is also a very safisfied Trident owner. Funnily enough we were in Anglesey the week before last. I think we went too early though - while we were there it was very windy and cold with it.....! Where did you stay? We like Penrhyn Bay Caravan and Camping Park near Valley. Always very clean, good views over the harbour and friendly, helpful wardens.
Best wishes.

Thanks for all your kind words and welcome.
Funny, the one question i was going to ask was about internal bunk ladders and where to find them, but I have just found a great guy on Ebay who makes them pretty much to measure, and specifically for VW's. So i managed to answer my own question...

Thanks Mike - we went to Newborough and stayed at the White Lodge Caravan Park. A really nice site, not too far from the beach (but far enough so we don't get blown away) and they have a great cafe on site that does lovely food, and even a Hog Roast on the Sunday!
thanks
Dan
