Thought I'd seen it all
Thought I'd seen it all.
On a local CS site, bye the canal, chickens, lambs, Shetland ponies etc.
Big new twin axle motorhome pulled on to the small camping field, undid his large rear locker, pulled out a petrol mower, cut tennis court size patch and then pitched on it.
And I thought I was sad cleaning my windows all the time.

Even offered the use of the mower too another A/S kimerton owner who had just pulled in. He declined, I thought about taking it home and cutting my small lawn at home which I've not cut for No Mow May !!! With the price of petrol as well?

Re: Thought I'd seen it all
Last year we were surprised to see someone on a nearby pitch borrow a mower from the site staff, and mow all around his pitch. It seemed a bit excessive, but speaking to him later he told us he pitched there for weeks/months at a time and it was easier to do it himself because he could move his stuff and make a decent job of it.

I can see your point Slow-lane.
This chap with his 10M ? Motorhome parked parallel to a fence (1m from it) which was at the rear of two or three hardstandings. This would mean if someone pitched on one of them his van would be no more than 3M from their rear.
Odd...!!

He does sound a bit batty. I'm surprised the site managers allowed him to park that way. If nothing else, if his van ended up only 3m from another one it would be less than the 6m gap usually stipulated for fire precautions.
