Washing curtains Trident VW
Hi. New here. i have just purchased a V reg VW trident Autosleeper but noticed the curtains are really dirty. I want to wash them but it seems I have to unscrew the whole rail to take them off. the front screen ones have also come off the runners in a few places and it seems impossible to put them back. HELP

At that age I would expect aluminium curtain tracks that are clipped on. Just pull the track out of the clips complete with curtains and return that way when finished.

Thanks for that. I noticed the one on the door has screws but will look at the ones with pelmets. Do the pelmets just pull off.

No the pelmets don't pull off. Leave them in place and remove the rails from the clips under them.
I had a Duetto of about that age and took a lot of the van to bits to remove the curtains before finding out how easy it is.
The modern vans have fixed curtain rails and the curtains are much harder to remove.

Hi Rose.
An introduction to the members in the intro section would be good. You get better responces to your questions after that normally as some members won't reply to you until you have.

My van has been in semi-storage over the winter.
Just noticed that my curtains are dirty too.
Just unclip the rails, I will have a look.
Did you notice any shrinkage?
Welcome to the forum by the way!
