Rear camera mounting
Am I the only one who finds that a rear view camera monitor attached to the rear view mirror obstructs the view? On my Executive the camera was mounted on the dashboard but on my Nuevo it's on the mirror.
Is there any legal reason why I cannot move the rear view mirror to the dash board? eg there has to be a rear view mirror even if you can't see out the back with it?
How do you get the mirror fitting off?

Morning Billy
The rear view camera is attached to your mirror by spring loaded clips which you just lift and the viewer comes off. You can take it off and put it on the dash but you will have fixing problems and the wires that are on the back will need re-routing down the A piller.
The mirror mounted unit is a common fixture now rather than the dash mounted but it can be done, if you need any further info please drop me a line.

Re: Rear camera mounting
Hi there, I stuck mine next to the mirror, not in the way at all, & its 'switched' i.e. I have a rocker-switch & only have a look when reversing or
to check on the bikes
Its a 'flip-up' type & can be folded flat/closed if nesessary.

Re: Rear camera mounting
Maybe I could just buy another mirror for it to fit on and fix it at the bottom of the window.
Any ideas about how to get the existing mirror off greatly appreciated!

Re: Rear camera mounting
I've just been out to sit in the Executive and then the Nuevo to check that I was not imagining things. Sitting in the Executive the bottom of the mirror is just on my eyeline - so I can look under it. Jump into the Nuevo and the top of the mirror is on my eyeline and the bottom of the mirror with monitor attached is 3 inches lower.
No wonder it seems to block the view!
