Slide out drawers
I have a 1999 Boxer based Symbol. It is apparent that there should be slide out drawers under the long settee, and under the single forward facing seat.
Does anyone know whether these are much use, or should they be discarded. Are they still available as a retro fit.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Slide out drawers
I have similar drawers under the side seat on my Flair and they are very useful, but if yours does not have them at present (slightly uncertain from your post, as you talk about taking them out and discarding them!) the point is moot.
Unless you can find a similar model at a breakers yard and get the drawers from that, there is IMO zero chance of getting some to retro-fit from AutoSleepers.

Re: Slide out drawers
I presume you mean slide-out baskets. I agree with Mojo that it is highly unlikely you would be able to get any other than from a scrap van.

Slide Out Drawers
Sorry, I didn't make it clear. There is one drawer/basket, the large one under the single bed, still in the van. The other two are missing. I wondered whether other van owners found them useful, or had discarded them as being more of a hindrance than a help.

Re: Slide out drawers
Sometimes we use the baskets and sometimes we leave them at home depending on the length of stay away from home. We pack the van differently for different trips.

Re: Slide out drawers
We have removed all but the two small ones to the rear of the sofa.
we find that small items can fall through the holes and stop the baskets sliding out, and bulky items (Sleeping bags etc) can foul the door cutouts and make the baskets difficult to pull forwards.
we find you can get much more in without them, and access is easier. I have kep't them in a safe place as I wan't to keep the van as original as possible, but it is unlikely we will use the van with them in place.
