Gas supply
Hi All.
How long, on average, do you make a 7.5kg propane gas bottle last when not on EHU including cooking and heating please?
Rich..

Re: Gas supply
7.5 Propane? or is it Butane surely 6.5 or 13kg for Propane
Its a difficult one as it obviously depends on how much you have the heating on, fridge and cooker dont use that much. Many people report only using 2 or 3 6.5kg cylinders per year, When we were on cylinders I think we got through around 4 per year but we do rally a lot and use the van all year round.
During 2012 1st year on a refillable we spent £41 on gas and I still have the best part of the 11kg (approx 21 ltrs)cylinder left in comparison with an average of £88/year
on todays prices for Calor Lites previously

Hi Rich,
As Roger says it depends on yourself, whether you use your space heater or not, if you spend a lot of time off EHU then a refillable is good value, You will find my opinion and some details of refillables in tips for newbies a sticky in the miscellaneous models section.
