£49.99 Satellite system Empty £49.99 Satellite system

On sale from today, there might be some left! 12v operation with a sucker mount. Similar £99 in Maplin or a bit less elsewhere. My firnd picked up one for each of us this morning and managed to get set up despite many trees surrounding his location. Check the reviews it might be worth a punt. wave http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/offers_week20Thursday11.htm

Thanks Dandy, Peak district soon so there will be experiments.
The suction device it came with had a small split on the edge and it didn't stay stuck to the kitchen worktop overnight so I phoned the technical help line and spoke to a nice gent who straight away said he would send me a new one. No quibbles at at all. Very impressed with that. Of course once I've got it the broken one will be converted into a tripod mount!

I didn't realise there was a satellite and TV thread already on the forum so I should have posted this there.
Anyway I got it working. alignment and adjustment in about 5 mins. Line the dish up south, move around until the box screams, then set up on screen for good quality. Twisting the LNB to the right angle helped. I think a stable mount for the aerial is the answer. I have an idea mounting on a camper will result in loss of signal when the camper moves if you are cooking etc. Some niggles with the one I got like the sucker and a thread I had to clean out but my friends was ok out of the box. Pleased with it so far.

Do you mean the cable connector or the LNB arm where it attaches to the dish?
You may need to make sure the center connector of the cable connector sticks out only 2mm from the connector "nut" the connector quality is pretty poor but that may be so of all "F" connectors which these are.
I had a couple of problems. The thread in the dish that accepts the screw to hold the arm on had some of the grey plastic from the dish in it and I had to clean it out. The sucker had a split in it and fell off the surface I put it on during testing. I called the technical support line in Bedford and they sent me a new one that arrived the next day. I was very impressed. No questions about where or when I bought it etc. Very helpful guy. I've just used it on a trip to The peak district and it worked a treat. I don't use the sucker mount though I've adapted a camera tripod to fit the old sucker mount to and used that.
I'll add some pics to show what I've done with it.

That's a cable that you can use to go through a window opening.

I found it fiddly to keep disconnecting and reconnecting the LNB so keep it connected to the short cable and connect the finder box to the other end and get an in line F connector from Maplin to replace for the box once you have found the satellite.
