satellite system
my van has no tv aerial but does have a satellite dish that works very well . It is the maxview target system and was fitted when i bought my duo . what i need to know is what the white box if for . I understand the maxview system but dont know what the teleco box is for . I did have one in my caravan that was attached to my aerial and used it to boost the signal is it the same on the satellite system . its the first time i have switched it on and cant understand what it does .

That looks like the Telco TV booster I used to have in my van, possibly left from when an aerial was fitted?
Have you traced the wires? My guess is that it is redundant.

I think you are probably right the black wire out of it definitely goes to an aerial outlet plug white disappears behind the paneling . Live wire is still connected and it still switches on .

Re: satellite system
If as you say it’s the first time you have switched it on then it couldn’t have been doing much before!
I’d just remove it but it’s your van so it’s up to you, won’t do any harm either way but I would power it down to save leisure battery discharge however small that might be.
