Many thanks again!

A bit of a long shot, & you may well already know this, but, are you waiting for the glow-plug light to go out before starting??
It no good at all switching on, seeing the glow-light & trying to start, the idea is to swith on, the light shows & at the same time the glowplugs are beginning
glow red hot, this happens for a few seconds, wait for the light to extinguish, then start, this way, the 'cold' fuel is injected onto the red-hot plugs &
this allows the cold engine to fire.
Another thing to try, switch on, wait, turn it over a couple of times, fuel is sprayed, switch off, then on again, & again wait for the light to go out, the
previous 'sprayed' fuel is already on the hot plugs, so 'new' fuel on 'hot' plugs usually enables easier starting as you've given it 2 lots of heat
BTW, most glow plugs have not only a relay ( to enable high amperages ) but also a timer to allow the plugs to get up to & maintain their heat.
The system can be crudely (but very effectivly ) overidden by wiring them up to a toggle-switch on the dash, this way you can leave them on
for a bit longer to ensure a start, but you MUST remember to swith off once started!!
