Introduction
Hi ASOF
A few words about myself and the camper...
I purchased the Autosleeper 1992 T4 Trooper in May of this year, my first experience of camper vans. We have had a fantastic summer (despite the rain) getting out and about. It’s the petrol engine, but has an LPG conversion. It is starting to show its age, and needs a bit of body work doing , particularly the offside rear, where the back and centre panel join (don’t they all). I’m hoping to get the body work sorted over the winter. Tony

Re: Introduction
You shouldnt have any problems getting new panels for the T4. Was talking to a panle supplier yesterday and he said he had no problems getting bits for quite old Ford and VWs.
The Talbot Express is now limited to bonnets, wings and bumber from his suppliers, cant get doors anymore for these veterans

VW T4 Body panels...
Hi Roli
I've had a frustrating day trying to understand how to get the kitchen units out (I can't figure out how they are screwed in at the top). The welder wants them out. I may be trying to find another welder who is happy for them to be left in.
On the panels...not sure why, but for some reason you can buy a repair panel for the rear off side quater, but not the centre off side panel. However, if you had a LHD model you can buy the nearside version. I've ended up purchasing an off side door skin repair panel, which I'm hoping can be adapted. I'm currently looking for the offside outer sill, which I'm beginng suspect may have the same isssue (only LHD version available). i'll keep the forum updated as i resolve the challenges!
