Introduction
Hi My Name is Stuart, and I have just purchased a 1994 Renault / Auto Sleeper Rimini conversion
I have previously had a VW which I bought to renovate, but never had the time, so when the gear box failed it was time for it to go.
The van is fantastic, and despite it's age it has only done 34000 miles, so the interior is spot on.
The only problem I have is the fridge, it works on gas & electric hook up just fine, but does not work on 12v. I assume there is a fuse somewhere that I have missed, so any clues would be helpful.
I prefer to wild camp as opposed to sites, but whatever I just enjoy the freedom.
I am a self employed Accountant, so I dont get as much time as I would like, but it is nice just to think hey the vat returns are done, the sun is shining lets go.
As a compromise when I visit clients, I use it as a mobile office / hotel it is fantastic.
Thanks for reading, and if you have any clues about fuses or hidden switches I would be obliged.
I could just take it to an Auto Electrician, but I am an accountant, and dont like spending money!

Re: Introduction
Have a look by the engine battery for a fuse holder probably containing two fuses one for split charger and one for fridge. Welcome to the forum.

Re: Introduction
Hi Stuart.
Welcome to the forum from Nottinghamshire. The 12 volt to the fridge only works when the engine is running so the fridge works on 12 volt when travelling. The fridge relay also switches off all of the other 12 volt supplies to the habitation area at the same time.
Hope this helps.
Cheers. Whisky

Hi Stuart,
Nice to see you here.
I don't think this will apply to your van, (unless someone has been fiddling) only the newer more complex models.
BTW I like the avatar - Good likeness
