Nuevo warranty problems
I wonder if anyone can help with the awful problems that we have encountered so much so that after 6 months of buying a new Nuevo EK we are now asking for a full refund from our dealer. Apart from a really poor finish to the conversion that is still not fully corrected (slap dash finish!), it has now been sat in a Peugeot Dealer for 4 weeks with no idea of when a mechanico-electrical problem will be solved. Because we bought from a caravan dealer we have no come back from the conversion problems with Autosleeper or Peugeot. Everyone wants to hive the problem onto someone else and not take the blame. We wish we had never bought in the first place.

Re: Nuevo warranty problems
Hi there,
I'm so sorry to hear of your predicament but there are a number of positive things that you can do before resorting to lawyers and spending money!
First of all, from what you have described, the vehicle is not "fit for purpose" so check out:
http://whatconsumer.co.uk/it-is-not-fit-for-purpose/
Then try:
http://www.adviceguide.org.uk
I would like to point out two things:
1. There used to be a Citizens Advice site but the latest government cuts have closed the site and removed the free advice.
2. The only reason you have even a cat in hell's chance of getting any satisfaction is because the EU brought in Consumer Legislation.
I hope the two sites give you the information required to resolve the problem.
Best regards,

Hi Robert
So sorry to hear of the troubles you are having. You must be extremely frustrated and angry about the whole situation. In addition to what has already been suggested if you haven't done already its worth looking at the sale of goods act (SOGA). Not knowing the exact detail of your circumstances it is difficult to advise further.
This link may help. http://www.oft.gov.uk/business-advice/treating-customers-fairly/sogahome/sogaexplained
I do hope you can get things sorted out to your satisfaction. Easy to say but try not to let this put you off owning a motorhome. It's a great experience to be able to go out and about so independently.
Good luck
John

This is indeed not a happy story which I thought AS would have come through now, particularly with this popular model.
I think I would write to Geoff Scott at A-S outlining your issues with build quality and poor chassis dealer service. Geoff does not like to hear these horror stories and I know your contract is with the dealer but sometimes it takes AS to get things moving

Warranty work done!
Having had car warranties in the past that didn't pay out fully, I was very pleased that the marquis motor-homes warranty paid for fixing a couple of faults with my peugeot boxer (nuevo es classic). The job would have cost about £250 and was completed for free at a garage near the dealers in Preston.

Why don't you contact AS directly. In my experience they usually help when they can.

Warranty problems
Many years ago had a similar problem with our Ravenna, so I phoned AS and spoke to Charles Trevelyan who could not have been more helpful. We eventually had all the many faults satisfactorily fixed by AS at Willersey.
I know that Charles has now retired but it will be worth a phone call.

As is often the case with complaints like this, the poster has not responded and last visited this site on the 18th September 2012.

Yes I am often tempted to edit these posts as possibly questionable when there is no repsonse.
I know not all dealers are the same but many are will point out faults prior to the sale.
I did a look at a van for someone one here where the dealer had informed him of defects, the member lived a long way from the dealer so we went to look.
I couldnt see one of the defects but was assured it was there and afaia all was sorted before our member travelled north to see and he did buy the van.

Re: Nuevo warranty problems
Hi everyone,
I responded to this Post when it arrived but I have to ask after a record of "One Post-One Moan-One Thanks" "Whatever happened to Dr Robert Smith?"
Were all his problems resolved or did they never exist?
It would be nice to get an answer!
Best regards,
