2022 Nuveo truma overheating cut out
A friend of mine is having trouble with the Truma boiler in her Nuevo overheating and cutting out. Marquis have had several goes at the fault to no avail surprise surprise!!! The boiler is mounted in a small compartment under the wardrobe with a grille below and a drawer above. With the drawer removed there is no problem, I am convinced there is not enough ventilation and needs another grille, under the drawer also there is 2 outlets next to the inlet grille, why not fit one closer to the cab? Has any other owners had this problem? Another problem is the surround of the front skylight has faded and matt has been rejected as a warranty claim.

As for the skylight surround, this previous thread contains many suggestions.....

Thankfully I haven't had an overheating problem with the Truma in my 2019 Nuevo, either before or after I had it turned through 90 degrees to improve its access. There have been occasions when the air circulation fan has gone into overdrive for a minute or so, presumably to cool it, but that's all. I wonder if this automatic fan cooling function has stopped working on the Nuevo owner's Truma?

I've just noticed you are in Hampshire. Martin Cookson in Romsey replaced the heating elements on my Truma and turned it around. He specialises in Truma repairs. You could seek his advice. Like you I wouldn't take it anywhere near Marquis unless I had to for warranty reasons.

Thanks Caraman, I will note that firm in case I have trouble with mine, unfortunately my friend lives in Devon. I will direct her to the Truma link you sent me. Can't understand why A/S install the heater that way round.

Does the Truma come up with an error code. I've spent along time trying to sort mine out including removing it and inspecting it. Mine would work fine on electric but would often not fire up on Gas. That sorted of limited the advantage that I wanted for off grid use.
My van had sat stored along time and I found spiders inside the combi !!
Prior to taking it to pieces I had a trauma diag hooked up and it gave the same error code and not a lot of help at diagnosing the problem with our spending a fortune on parts almost as much as a new combi.
If I was going down that route I would think about fitting an electric/diesel version.
Interesting to read about turning the heater around that does make sense. I would also agree it seems to get ridiculously hot in the confined area it is located in the Neuvo under a sliding drawer.
This could well cause an issue perhaps try operating with the drawer out it comes out fairly easy. If that works perhaps some computer fans could be mounted to draw hot air out?
A bit like the mod for aiding the fridge in very hot weather.
I'm currently dealing with the joys of the mastic having degraded on front Heiki causing water leak.
