Bed feet durability
Is it just me that has issues with these plastic bed feet frequently breaking? Why the legs can’t have a metal blank end with a screw in support is beyond me, they always break at the plastic surround, away in Italy & suffered another casualty, will have to obtain some spares when I’m next at Auto-Sleepers if I can…

Next time, insert the square bit then put a large washer between the screw and the insert, spreads the load and the impact.

I have drilled and put self tapping screws through the metal legs at the level of the top of the plastic inserts.. hopefully this will last. Time will tell.
It's a rubbishy cheap design and even replacement ones are probably going to break again

I’m not sure I understand where the washer goes Paul? It’s the insert that pushes in the leg tube that always breaks, only way I can see is to put a nut lower down on the thread then a washer on top of that then adjust? Would be so much better if the leg tubes just had a nut welded in the base of the tube then screw the foot into that.

Re: Bed feet durability
I didn't explain it well but that's exactly what I was getting at.

Ours broke while we were away too, ended up shaving down a wine cork and pushing it in. It's still there..
