Dash warning light fault Empty Dash warning light fault

Hello fellas, just wondered whether anyone has experienced this problem. When I switch on the cruise control some of the dash warning lights come on, rather dim but visible. Cruise works ok and the warning lights operate ok otherwise.

Well documented problem. Google it . In a lot of cases, you need to send for dash pod to Cartronix , look them up.

Right, interesting. Thanks for the information, I've another year of the warranty left on the van. I'll have a look and see if it might be covered.
Thanks again.

Good morning as Paul has already said it’s a common fault with Fiat& Peugeot vans. Mine was doing it when I purchased it but was told it’s a common fault so don’t worry about it and not an MOT failure. But mine got worse and I had warning lights glowing at night when everything was switched off and I believe draining the vehicle battery. Lucky I live near Cartronix so went to them they removed the dash in seconds fixed it replaced in hour and half it was about £150 if I remember correctly. Once again Dealer would not pay as they agreed it was a fault but as it was so common they did not think repair was needed. Push the dealer as yes known fault but the lights should not be on. It’s caused by condensation on shoddy soldered joints. Cartronix do a one day return service but contract them first. Kevin

Hello
Thanks Kevin. I contacted Cartronix after Paul gave me the pointer. You are correct, £150 plus postage. The vans in for its hab check today. I’ve asked them if they might be able to look into claiming off the warranty. I don’t think simply saying it’s a common fault should let them off the hook. I’ll update when I’ve heard back.

Yes as I said mine was just when turning on cruise control to begin with then slowly got worse, as i said at night when dark the warning light's glowed all the time with everything switched off and key's removed from ignition. Kevin

Well that's no good at all. I'd rather get it seen to in case it develops into something similar.
