Mercedes OBD-2 reader
Can anyone recommend an OBD-2 reader for DIY use that will work with my 2018 model year 906 Sprinter based Winchcombe? I understand some readers don’t have the codes for Mercedes?

Re: Mercedes OBD-2 reader
Not sure how much you want to spend, the cheaper scanners won’t help you much other than generate a generic code. I have this Topdon model (link below) says it’s compatible with Mercedes which has worked well for me & allows you to email a report of the results which has been handy, obviously the more expensive models from Launch & SnapOn etc are much more advanced but overkill for the DIY’er unless you can afford them of course.

Thanks very much for this. Looks just the thing and I’ll double check on the Topdon website about use with a Sprinter. It will only be for DIY use mainly identifying warning light problems when out and about so fully agree it would be overkill to get a professional garage tool!
