Autosleeper at Music Festivals
Just got back from 2000 Trees Festival near Cheltenham, saw quite a few different models of Autosleepers including an old A Class (which I have forgot to write down the model name). Most were quite old but in wonderful condition, I spoke to a few of the owners and surprisingly all but one had never heard of this Forum.
What was very noticeable was that the quality of the cabinet making was much better in the older vans, no MFI fastenings or vinyl used in those days.
Types spotted in no particular order
Mezan, Executive, Talisman, Topaz, Neuvo, Symbol, Kingham, Trooper, Warwick Duo, Luxor, Legend and of course my own Warwick XL.
Outcider and ArcTanGent festivals next, both held at Fernhill Farm, Compton Martin near Bristol, any one else on here going to these?

Re: Autosleeper at Music Festivals
You got Luxor in your list which is A class or was it Mirage that you didn't write down.
I've just been to a steam rally , couple of old Duettos and a Talbot based monocoque, among all the self-builds that such rallies attract.
My son was at 2000 trees but he travels each day . He's booking agent for As December Falls amongst others there.

You are quite right Paul, it was a Luxor, my son has just confirmed it. Unusual looking van, good layout though.Paulmold wrote:You got Luxor in your list which is A class or was it Mirage that you didn't write down.

My niece was hinting recently that I might lend her my van to attend that festival, but it fell on deaf ears. So it was a tent as usual!

The van pitches are in a separate area to the tents and are fenced off with security patrolling, no problems, just a bit of mud on my tyres. I do understand your deafness though, I would not want to lend out my van, it is too precious to me.v8oholic wrote:My niece was hinting recently that I might lend her my van to attend that festival, but it fell on deaf ears.
