Nuevo EK 2022 hidden fuse??
I recently changed the battery and not sure if the issue arose from that but the external whale pump and the wardrobe light have stopped working. The fuses on the Sargent fuse board are not showing as blown so I am not sure where to start, is there somewhere else I could look for a fuse that is blown or any other ideas? The rest of the electrics seem to be ok.
thanks for advice.

Hi Pete,
Are you turning the control panel on ?
I know it needs to be on for the wardrobe light, never used the whale filler but think it has to be on for that as well.

Here's what remained of my Bourton wardrobe light after some faulty wiring had had its way:Morsefields wrote:I recently changed the battery and not sure if the issue arose from that but the external whale pump and the wardrobe light have stopped working. Those wardrobe lights are notoriously feeble in construction and reliability. It may even be that if you thump it, it would return to working order. As for Whale pumps, the first thing I do when buying a motorhome with a Whale pump is to remove it and fit something that has a reputation for reliability.
Having said that, it does sound a bit like a blown fuse that feeds both the pump and the wardrobe light. YOu will have to start at the battery where there are obviously volts and work your way along the wiring, to the fuse box. Check there is 12v at the input side of the fuse, check the fuse isn't blown by checking its resistance which should be zero ohms. All you can do after that is physically chase each wire along its route towards the wardrobe and Whale pump socket and find where the volts go absent.

This is what I fitted, it is far superior to anything I have seen in any motorhome wardrobe.

It runs off its internal battery, has a USB socket for recharging, and a PIR sensor. So it is not dependent on the position of the wardrobe door so it won't stay on if the door is partially open, it goes off after about a minute if there is no movement detected. You open the wardrobe door to get something out, reach for it and the light comes on. It turns off after a minute with no movement detected. It fits to the wardrobe frame via two provided magnets so you can unclip it and take it with you using it as a torch. You get a car USB charger /cigarette lighter plug, take it apart so you end up with a 12v to USB converter, wire it to the 12v wardrobe light supply, and connect this light to the USB output. It is the best, simplest, most useful accessory I have ever fitted to a motorhome.
For £1.74 it is truly amazing.
