What a bargain !!!!

We've never stayed at Rowntree but seen it from the outside and the photos of it look good.  The reason it is so popular and therefore why the price is high is its location in York which is a great city to visit.  In part because I am a tight fisted Yorkshireman at heart, we probably wouldn't stay there and certainly not in high season.  In preference we would use one of these excellent and cheaper CLs which have access to public transport into York and elsewhere.  The only one we have used is Warthill Grange which is a mile from the bus stop but that isn't a problem for us.
