Protection for pipes by wet locker door
I used to have a Suntor and it had a really handy length of metal strip by the wet locker door which protected the pipes/wires, so they didn’t get snagged when putting things in/out of the locker from the outside. I’ve now got a Corinium FB and the water pipes by the wet locker door are exposed, I’m worried they’ll get caught by when things get shoved in. I can’t find anything like a protective strip to go over them…. Can’t quite get the right ‘search’ on google. Any ideas welcome! Thanks

I assume wet locker is the same as skirt locker which is below the floor and therefore unheated/uninsulated - at least mine is. So I am surprised you have water pipes in your locker that could freeze. There are no pipes or wires in my wet/skirt locker. Maybe the Al-Ko chassis Corinium is different to the rest of the coachbuilts? Are you able to post a photo?

Ah apologies, my terminology is incorrect. I mean the locker that you can access under the bed from the outside.

Understood. If it's just water pipes, which are quite tough, they should be secured to the floor with clips along the floor edge and that should be enough. A photo would be helpful for non-Corinium owners.

Thanks, I’ll take one tomorrow so others know what I’m talking about. I’m just paranoid that my young lad will end up nudging them when putting things in the locker. The motorhome before this had a really handy strip to go over then and gave that added protection. I’ve google searched for it but just not getting what I’m after.

If you think it's necessary, something like this might do the trick. It's really for wires but 16mm x 16mm should be large enough to accommodate a water pipe.

Yes, I used the same across the back doors of my Kingham where the pipes had been scorched by a slightly parted heating duct. I used a slightly larger size, about 75 x 50 since (a) I had a length (b) there was a pipe union to accommodate and (c) there was room to put in a bit of insulation as lagging.

We have a burford which is the same layout and used the two part surface trucking that caraman has shown in his link an easy fix just unscrew the clips a tuck the trucking under the pipes and slick down with double sided tape , then clip on the lid It protects the pipes and looks much neater
