Extra USB charge point 2018 Warwick

Hi folks,

Sat in the Warwick XL watching the rain and thought I’d use the time to as a question! Has anyone changed out the 2 gang 240 / one gang USB point to make an extra USB? We don’t use 240 but could do with another USB. Cheers all.

Isn't it odd that our 2010 has only 1gang 240 and 2usb , you'd think later models would have more tech not less. (We do have another 240 down under bed. )

I did take a fused spur from main panel and added a USB socket to aid with power to firestick, mobile charging etc.

In my Warwick XL I traced the supply cables from the tv power socket which come into the under bed area below it . Connected into it a ran cable to rear of under bed area and fitted usb outlet which gives me a power point to the rear, this now fused on 12v socket circuit.

I was hoping there might be an option to swap the kitchen 2x240 1 x USB unity for one with an extra USB. I’ll try phoning Autosleeper and report back.

Apologies if I’ve misunderstood what you are hoping to achieve but the sockets in my 2018 van are Berker, I’ve swapped a couple out for a different purpose. Any chance of a pic? Underneath the silver front are single sockets.

Note that these only deliver 1 Amp , pretty useless by all accounts.

Well spotted M-P, I fitted the 2.5A version in my van and assumed they were all the same.
Worth mentioning that you will see cheaper versions online but these are just cheaper USB sockets fitted into a Berker surround. I’m sure most will be a decent standard (I think some have successfully fitted them on here) but I wanted the genuine thing.
