Vehicle Battery charging from PSU Empty Vehicle Battery charging from PSU

We have a Kemerton 2011 PSU EC155 with EC50 control panel.

Vehicle battery has drained. Usually i switch to Vehicle on the control panel to charge. When I press it show red flashing light indicating flat, but it won’t remain on it to charge reverts back to Leisure battery.

Not been drained for long only a few days we did’nt have EHU pushed in fully, though Vehicle battery was charging but of cause it caused further drain.

This is a feature of the EC155 (and other Sargent controllers) which, ironically, is designed to prevent you from flattening the vehicle battery by leaving habitation loads on. It will auto-switch to the leisure battery if the vehicle battery is at less than 10.9V.

But if the battery has been flat for several days, it's probably not the best way to re-charge it via the EC155 anyway - it's a fairly crude charger compared with, for example, a CTEK or similar charger with recovery mode.

If you have access to any other battery charger, it is probably best to use the mains hookup and connect the separate charger to the vehicle battery to recharge it.
