Location of tracker inside Nuevo
I have just received a message from Sargent tracking that my comms (tracker) battery is now discharged and cannot be recharged.
I do not know why this has happened as it has only been 2 years, but we had some problems with the lithium battery apparently being flat, and this may have made the tracker battery be used.
However, my main question is: I got additional advice from Sargent to say that the physical changing of the battery is straight forward as it just involves removing the lid of your tracker lid and replacing it. However the location of trackers inside Auto Sleepers are very difficult to access: Does anyone know where the tracker is located in a Nuevo 2021?

If we did, it would defeat the object of having a hidden tracker and certainly shouldn’t be published on an open forum.
I don’t know if AS might help.

AS will not tell you, it would be an AS authorised dealer to change it.
I agree no-one should even tell anyone else, even if they know where it might be

If the vehicle is 2021 it must still be under warranty as is the tracker communication module/unit. Therefore, you must go back to your dealer either for them to change the battery or at least show you where the unit is which you must then keep to yourself. The achilles heel of any tracking device is its location within the vehicle. If a thief finds out where it is all he/she has to do is toss it out of the window as they drive the motorhome away. The tracker may then be found but it will be nowhere near the motorhome.

As far as I am aware, A-S don't fit alarms so your alarm may have been an aftermarket one. The company that fitted my aftermarket alarm for Marquis has steadfastly refused to tell me where the alarm control unit is located which like the Sargent communication and tracker unit fitted to EC700 vans is concealed for security reasons. When the A-S Service Centre needed to find out where my alarm control unit was, so they could connect it to the communication and tracker unit, they had to ask the alarm Company. I still don't know where my alarm control unit is. The location of these devices may/should be different on different vans and must not be speculated on or revealed.Molly3 wrote:I was told at hand over where alarm was fitted
