Hi everyone, We are Mr & Mrs G and we are going to try campervan 'ing'  for first time. We have put a deposit down on a 2007 Peugeot Symbol, now we've checked the MOT history we are a little concerned regarding sub frames advisories as we are all new to this, hoping we havent bought a money pit!  We have joined this forum to share our experiences and hopefully pick up some useful information and spare parts along the way.

Hi G's and welcome.

Hope you enjoy your new van. It will help folk answer any questions you have if you change the model of your van in your profile from 'Peugeot Boxer' to the AS model, eg Symbol, Executive, Neuvo EK….

Well we are home having picked up the Symbol, we love it. Quick query please, the van has only done 500 miles since last December, was sold to the dealer in April and has been on their forecourt ever since. Would it be natural while driving home, 2 hour drive, to smell diesel while slow moving or stationery? Thanks in advance.

No, it wouldn’t. Check the fuel tank hasn’t been over filled and if you rule that out, it needs a severe looking at. Contact the dealer who sold it to you to get it sorted.
