Satellite Tv Empty Satellite Tv

Post by Tengah74 Sat Sep 23, 2023 4:25 pm

My Avtex 10 year old Tv is gradually dying. Sat signals being lost and the DVD is now not working. Without wanting to spend buckets of dosh, my idea is get a modern( new) Tv. My Sat system ( Maxview Dome ) connects to my old tv by a scart plug, but all new tv’s have a HMDI input instead of the scart. Looking at a Cello Tv with all usual requirement. So, has anyone used a Scart to HMDI convertor or is this method a waste of time and money. Open and suggestions or alternates.
Thanks.

Personally, I would be going down the streaming route these days compared to satellite but that’s just my take on it, not saying it would work for you up!

If your viewqube is working ok then for what the cost is of a suitable
lead is it’s got to be worth it. There are certain locations were only satellite will do.

I'd go for a streaming TV solution. I installed 4G antenna, router and TV with firestick for under £300. Definitely been a decent investment. Even in some very remote locations, I've had a data signal and streamed live TV and used Netflix etc without any issues.
