Belated Hello
Apologies members, I thought I had posted a "Hello" but checking reveals I hadn't.
We are Paul and Lee, I am a retired widower, my son Lee is working.
I am an ex submariner who on leaving the Navy after 17 years continued working on subs (45 years in total) in Plymouth Dockyard, commissioning electrical instrumentation on subs in refit.
My son is a baker for a well known supermarket Sunday to Wednesday very early start but finishes at 12 which is great for 3 night getaways (staff discount is also quite welcome).
We are members of both the Caravan & Motorhome Club and the Caravan & Camping Club though we seem to be using more private campsites which offer better value in my opinion.
We own a 2020 Warwick XL MQ which has a superb layout for the two of us and includes accommodation space air con.
We have modified the electrics substantially by fitting 255 Watts of solar panels, 200AH LiFEPO4 batteries, a 2KW Victron inverter, DC-DC charger, Cerbo GX, GX Touch 50 display, GX Tank 140 and two pressure sensors for accurate tank contents.
Have also exchanged the useless fitted 3 way fridge for a compressor model and modified the accommodation to cab step to access the incredible waste of space below.
We go to a lot of music festivals where there is no EHU and can easily manage for up to 7 days off grid, The onboard shower is very much appreciated as there is always fresh water available.
I think this is a great forum for education, for learning how to fix defects, and for all round experienced knowledge, well worth joining.
