Habitation Aircon repaired
The habitation Aircon in my Sussex Duo has not worked for a while now. Everyone I contacted told me that they can’t be repaired when I mentioned that the issue was it switched on, the compressor started but there didn’t appear to be a fan. It’s the old Dometic CA1000.
I eventually found CamperUK in Lincoln, who said they would strip it and see what the issue was. They took a couple of hours, but eventually found that the fan was jammed. They loosened it, cleaned it, lubricated it and the Aircon is now working exactly as it should. Not only that, they’ve noted the fan model number and said if this happens again due to the age, they’ll be able to source and fit a new fan.
A very helpful team made this a pleasant experience, and I would certainly use them again.
