More plastic
T'other week I went into Morrisons and was accosted at the entrance by a person offering me a Morrisons More card, so I explained that we already have them.
After shopping, I asked at the till if there was any difference in the old "spotty" one and the new "green" cards and was told there wasn't.
On arrival home yesterday, we have an envelope containing new cards.
On checking old and new, the codes are exactly the same and our account details are the same.
So, on the basis that Morrisons probably have millions of exisiting "More" members, there will be millions more extra bits of plastic being binned for no apparent reason.

Re: More plastic
Some organisations (National Trust for Scotland being one) are now issuing membership cards which are 100% recyclable with paper in your regular household paper & card bin or even compostable.
Also, many are now showing membership cards within their apps, which may be a first stage in reducing sending out printed cards to those of us who can use the electronic alternative.

Re: More plastic
Re Morrisons, used to look forward to the £5 vouchers once you'd earned enough points. Now theyve changed so you only earn points on specific product or specials. Not quite the same.

I hadn't realised that was the current procedure Paul, but would explain why we hardly ever get the £5 off voucher these days.

Find them very useful for smoothing filler on walls and grouting!nuevoboy wrote:, there will be millions more extra bits of plastic being binned for no apparent reason.

Re: More plastic
I use my old cards to help clean fatty deposits from the cooker and the gunk that forms around the bathroom sink. Hoping I'm not adding to the microplastics already in the sea.
