Newcastle Clean Air Zone
It’s worth noting that Newcastle is the only place that is currently putting its own exemption rules onto their CAZ, allowing any motorhome to have an exemption. You don’t need to live local. You apply online with the usual info (V5 showing motor caravan, photos of the van etc) and the process is very quick. Not only that, it states it’s a lifetime exemption, so no requirement to renew.
I did it as it’s one less thing to think about if/when I’m up in the area.

Re: Newcastle Clean Air Zone
The zone area is very small and really only applies if you want to go over Tyne bridges. Anyone in their right mind would use the metro to get into city centre. Passing by on the A1 gives it a wide berth.
(I did enter my reg on government clean air zone website and it said £12.50 per entry.)
