Awning rain seal Empty Awning rain seal

When it rains water coming off the van roof runs between the gap on the roof and awning, when it rains hard it like a waterfall meaning everything gets wet when the sliding door is opened. I have seen Thule do a EPDM strip to stop this has your van got one fitted if not what did you do to stop this. Unfortunately to fit the EPDM now I would have to take the awning cassette off which I cant do on my own.

Anyone else have this happen what did you do, Do Autosleeper not fir the EDPM as standard

Hi, yes I had the same problem, there should be a foam strip to fill the gap, I bought a 4 meter strip off eBay ,it has a sticky side to it  to hold in place 20 x 30 mm.cost about £10 .hope this helps.

There is a rubber moulded seal that fits into a slot on the as ing body and seals the gap. I bought it for my Omnistor awning on a previous van which, while mounted on the wall of a coach built had a 5mm gap between wall and awning for water to penetrate. The seal worked!

I also bought a moulded strip that slides into a groove in the awning, the other edge fits tight to the van wall. They can be bought in various widths up to about 60mm. Ebay from what I remember.

Unfortunately my Omnistore 6300 hasn't got a groove at the back, looks like I am going to have to find some help or take it somewhere to fit the EDPM foam/rubber strip.

I assume removing and refitting the awning is a 2 man job as its heavy. Moulded strip a in a groove would have been so mush easier.
