Again tyre pressures
I have query, we have a 2002 Peugeot, symbol, I have looked everywhere for tyre pressures for the van gross weight 3300kg, every where seems unable to agree with any one what should the pressures should be I had to buy 2 front tyres in south Morocco (still there) as tracking was way out, I have done couple of thousand miles probably on them, I have them inflated to 3.8 bar, but looking at them I see wear on the edges which would indicate under inflated, does anyone know or have a clue what these pressures could or should be ?

Re: Again tyre pressures
The only correct way to find out is to have the van weighed on each axle and then either use the tyre safe graph or contact the tyre manufacturer

Re: Again tyre pressures
That could be my old van I sold in 2017.
I used to set the pressures to F59 R65 (which is 4.1 and 4.5 bar). I got the pressures from AS so I can't vouch for them, but it is what I used.

Re: Again tyre pressures
For now use 60psi all round.
Then, and soon, as Chris suggests get it weighed, 3 times, front axle, back axle and total.
The use tyre safe graph.
I have had 5 Mh now and all 3t to 3.5T have always had 60psi all round with no issues.
If you look on SEARCH re tyre pressures you will find a zillion results, many on here seeing your post will have heads in hands!!!

Re: Again tyre pressures
However, in your current circumstances and used at your own risk, see the info here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] that are much the same as I used to use on my 3400 kg 2005 Boxer 60/65 psi and very similar to those (58/62) advised the then AS Service Manager in 2007.
The risk is not knowing the make of the tyre as when I moved from one make of tyre to another in my 5 year old 1999 Ford Duetto I had to (on the advice of the manufacturer) considerably increase the pressures I used to restore stability at speed.
PS I enjoyed re-reading my emails from 2006/2007 on AS Build Quality whilst researching this....

Re: Again tyre pressures
Bear in mind that tyres have their own max pressure limits (check pressures when cold) which can differ from vehicle pressure specs. if different makes/types are fitted.

Re: Again tyre pressures
Here is a link to the TyreSafe on-line calculator. You won't go far wrong if you use it but you will need to know your fully loaded axle masses by visiting a weigh bridge which you should be able to do in any country. You also need to know these to make sure you are not exceeding any of the load limits - axles and tyres.
