Amethyst Bathroom corner basin
Hello Everyone
We have just acquired a 2007 Amethyst - unfortunately the basin corner support must have failed and has been replaced with a sheet of plastic. The repair is pretty poor so we need to replace the unit if possible. AS advise they no longer have these. On one forum someone recommended a plastics firm who made the original fittings but they seem to have stopped trading. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Most plastics were made by Cheltenham Laminates who are still very much in business.
Don't know what you mean by corner support, can you explain more?

Hello Paul
The basis seems to be supported by a corner unit seperete from the cupboard below and the wall unit above. Many thanks for the info re Cheltenham Laminates will get in touch with them.

Have you tried https://caravanpanels.com ?
I think the sink shown at https://caravanpanels.com/cps-moto-1006-sink-2462-p.asp
may fit your washroom.

Not that I can help any more than others have said but welcome fellow Ford owner. I think your washroom is the same as our Rienza with a corner sink above a cupboard so I will check ours in case the we have the same problem.

Re: Amethyst Bathroom corner basin
Looking at washrooms in a couple of Amethyst For Sale adverts I think the Amethyst washroom was very similar, if not identical, to our Pollensa's. The plastics used in the washroom aren't of very good quality and are rather brittle with age. They were made by a firm called Plastech Thermoforming Ltd. Now long gone. Your best bet may be to contact a caravan/motorhome breakers to see if they can help.
I'm in the middle of overhauling the plumbing in our washroom so the basin base etc., is all dismantled. I can send you photos of ours if it's any help. Meanwhile, here's a picture of the maker's label on the back of our washroom sink base, in case it's of any help.
