Bathroom basin not retaining water Empty Bathroom basin not retaining water

Noticed on the last couple of trips away our bathroom washbasin or bowl slowly loses water, you can just manage a strip wash or shave if you’re quick but occasionally you have to top it up. I’ve checked the plunger for tightness &  can’t turn it any tighter so presuming it must be the rubber seal maybe?

The seal is easy to change.This is the size needed. (AS want extortionate amount for one)
