Hello

We are looking to purchase our first motorhome having hired them in the past.
Having found one at a dealers that we are interested in I asked if I could have test drive. In he said no they don't do test drives. is this normal ?

Many thanks

Some dealers are reluctant to allow test drives in brand new vans but will accommodate you by allowing a test drive in something similar, or by getting a verbal confirmation that you will buy it if you're happy with the test drive.

If he refuses on all counts, walk away.

I have to admit that I never test drove any of my 3 AS, presuming that any decent dealer would sort any problems out, having researched the dealers reviews.  The first one turned out to have a blown head gasket , sorted by the dealer without any problem, the other two were both fine. All 3 were used vans.

Replied in your other post,  best to only ask question in one section  to avoid confusion

Would you buy a new pair of shoes without trying them on?
