Hi All - recently bought 1999 Symphony Auto- Sleeper (Peugeot 1.9 TD). Couple of trips locally and loving it. However, have issue with damaged plastic inlet pipe built into expansion tank. Can’t source one - any ideas?

A pic would help, but assuming its the tank itself damaged where the pipe is attached, then that needs sorting. The tank is pressurised to allow the engine to run hotter without boiling. Yours isn't pressurised if the tank isn't sealed.
Parts for the older Peugeots are getting hard to find, I know from experience.
Your engine was also , I think, used in the 205 so look there perhaps.
If not there's a lot of plastic welding being done now, perhaps worth talking to one of these people?

Thanks very much for you efforts to help me. Unfortunately my tank is not as the one in the pic you sent. Will send you a pic if I can and and continue my search. I have a friend who is going to attempt to weld it this eve. PS. Can’t see how to add a pic yet! Thanks again Ian.

To add a pic, go to the toolbar above the reply section, in the 4th box from the left towards right is a pic of an ancient floppy disc, click on that a new window appears.
First save your pic to desktop.
Now using the new window, click select files, that'll take you to an option, one of which is desktop, find the file and click on it it should appear in the Remove all/send all section. If you've got the right pic click on send all, a new window will appear saying insert all. Click on that, just one click, and your pic will be in your post....

Also if you ask same question in the van conversions section, this section is just for newbies saying hi, you'll get a lot more responses and your question will be where Symphony users are much more likely to see it!
