2017 Kingham overhead lockers
Hi everyone, I have a small problem which I am sure someone will know the answer to.
Some of my overhead lockers do not latch and as such items are prone to jump out and escape.
In the pics you’ll see the hinges are similar to kitchen cabinet hinges and I wonder if they are adjustable.
I need to drop at least 2 doors down about 4 mm. I have tried adjusting the catch but there is no play in it.
Any ideas how or if this is achievable.
Thanks folks

I don't know if it helps but on my Duo, out of the four screw holes in each hinge, two are slotted in each so you can adjust those but you'll need to make new holes for the other two .

Thanks Paul, I was hoping to avoid doing that if possible. I had a good look at the hinges and they seem to be like the ones on kitchen units which have an adjustment screw, but I can’t see inside the locker’cos it’s an awkward angle
PS I seem to have sent the question twice. Anyway to delete one.

Use a mirror to see if hinges have adjustable screw.

If it is like my 2014 WXL it may be that the run of cupboards is starting to drop which knocks the catches out of alignment, solution to this seems to be longer thicker screws where the attach cupboard to van body

I’ve adjusted ours in the past by lowering the door relative to the carcass. You do it simply by loosening the screws that fix the hinge to the door, then adjusting the door position. Do one hinge at a time, there should be sufficient play to enable that. The holes in the hinge are elongated to facilitate adjustment.
Use a screwdriver rather than a drill/driver to make the adjustment, as that will give you better (ie finer) control. I don’t recall adjusting the catch.
I adjusted mine because there were differences in vertical position of the 3 adjacent overhead locker doors in the Kemerton, so the trims didn’t line up and it annoyed me!

As I said earlier, on mine only 2 of the hinge plate screw holes are elongated.

If all else fails, put a 4mm packer under strike plate? Or is this too much of a bodge? Bilbobaggins comments that the runs of cupboards could be coming loose sounds a bit concerning
