New Garmin Back up cameras
Given the unreliability of the reversing cameras..these new products look interesting. I am interested to see your comments and anybody who has fitted/used.
My initial view is they look nickable

Re: New Garmin Back up cameras
My van came with a BC30 fitted and the older Avtex satnav. The picture quality was very poor. I purchased the BC40 but found it did not work with my newer Avtex satnav as it needed the dongle on the power supply to pick up the signal. Using the older power lead it worked OK though the picture quality is still not brilliant but acceptable. It is slow to pick up when reverse engaged :(lucasg wrote:Given the unreliability of the reversing cameras..these new products look interesting. I wonder if the camera is better or if this is just a repackaging of the BC40. Also, it is not clear if you still need the dongle (£62.99) to get it to work with the satnav.

Re: New Garmin Back up cameras
I've been using the BC40 for the past 3 years in my last 2 vans coupled to a Garmin 780 and they work really well .Camera quality is as good as you can get .My current van (Broadway) has 2 cameras attached and I'm really pleased. I'm still on the 1st set of batteries.
