Any idea what these are for?
Hi all
Found these in the back of the van.
Two white poles, one is extendable... Is it doesn't look they fit anywhere but not sure why they were in there lol....
Has anyone got any idea of what they would be for?
Thanks
Marc

canopy/awning fabric tension bars.
wind out canopy to desired amount, use the bars (adjustable lengths, interlocking also, spring loaded ) placed between fixed canopy housing and centre of wind out rail. Then wind back in slightly to tension canopy fabric and make canopy fabric straight and tight.
Full instructions on YouTube, Thule awning instructions.
called a tension rafter on Google

Re: Any idea what these are for?
Be warned these tensioning poles for the awning which is also what I think, they are rather heavy and not particularly firmly attached. I have seen reports probably on ASOF of them coming off and scratching the van's paintwork.I don't know why they made them out of steel and have such poor fastenings at each end, an accident waiting to happen if it's windy. The supplied steel poles that came with our van remain in storage at home.
I have an old now modified Fiamma pole which does the same job but better for our Thule Omnistor awning

Check the ends and the sockets, they may be different.
