Pollensa : Fammia Canopy Tie Straps Empty Pollensa : Fammia Canopy Tie Straps

Post by Martin Ballantyne Thu Apr 28, 2022 4:32 pm

Just had a Fammia F45S 300 Canopy fitted to our Pollensa. I'm looking to get suitable "Tie Straps" to give us that little bit extra security against the wind, though my intention would be to wind it in asap if threatened by windy conditions! I'd welcome any recommendations/advice on what I should get.

Thanks. smile!

Don’t Fiamma do tie down straps for their own kit?

Edit… Just did a search and these came up, is this what you are after?

I bought this set from ebay, £13.50 for the set.  Seem to work OK.  The seller is securefixdirect.

Thanks Dbvwt and NickT. I was aware Fiamma did a kit and it means that I shouldn't have any concern re attaching it etc. Basically, I'm wondering how others may have found the kit and if there is a better alternative out there which others have used.

At the end of the day, any strong fixings/straps will do the job if secured properly.
Personally I would never leave the wind out canopy out in any kind of wind, in fact it never comes out unless the weather is calm but that’s just me!

Thanks guys. I'm with you on avoiding the wind! I managed today to get the Fiamma kit for £21.99. Have gone with that to keep things as straightforward as possible. My next task is to find a "SUBSTANTIAL" (the wife's word) wind break (s). Our existing one didn't survive the wind at Cornwall last year, even with decent pegs. Basically, the poles and guy ropes weren't up to the job. Have seen some really sturdy bits of kit about but they all look really expensive. I suppose you only get what you pay for and I, obviously, didn't pay enough last time round!

Thanks again for the replies.
